PRODUCTION
Produced in Greece
from the
ΑDAMIDIS
in N. Anchialos Thessaloniki
The production process starts with the creation of the mass, i.e. the mixing of the raw materials (kaolin, clay, feldspar, quartz), using stirrers. The mass is then transferred to a high moulding press with multiple mould positions, where the objects are moulded through a process controlled by instruments and programs. The objects, after passing through the program of gradual drying, sorting and cleaning of their surface, are fed to the glazing robot. The items are covered with a layer of enamel, which, after firing, creates a glazed surface.
In the final phase, during the firing process at temperatures of 1,250 – 1,300 degrees Celsius, the mass is transformed into porcelain. In combination with the glassy outer surface formed during the previous stage, it becomes impermeable to water and acquires mechanical strength.
